On the directions of Punjab Govt., Kashmir Black Day would be observed on 27th October to show the solidarity with kashmiris and to Condmn the illegal occupation of Srinagar by India in 1947. The National flag would remain half mast in all govt. buildings on Kashmir Black day. The district administration has arranged various programs to highlight the Kashmir issue and expressed solidarity with the Kahmiris. A main seminar would held at District Council Hall on Sunday in whuch Parliamentarians, Divisional Commissioner,Regional Police Officer, Deputy Commissioner and CPO would participated as guest speakers While officers of Divisional & District administration, Students and people from different Walks of life would also participated.After the seminar Kashmir Solidarity Walk would also held from District Council chowk to clock tower.Special prayers would be pray for martyrs of held kashmir. Meanwhile, seminars, speech declamation, painting competitions and
other events would be held at different educational institutions to show
solidarity with kashmiri brethren. Various political, religious,
social and other organizations have also arranged rallies,
seminars, conferences and other programmes to express solidarity with
the kashmiri people and to raise the support with them in their
struggle of independence of Kashmir. The banners pertaining to
different slogans of solidarity with Kashmiris have been
displayed at conspicuous places throughout the district by the
district administration, Municipal Corporation, District Council, FWMC, PHA,
Municipal Committees and other organizations. Deputy Commissioner
Muhammad Ali informed that proper security arrangements have
been made for the observance of Kashmir Black day programs in which all segments of society would participate. He said that similar programs had also been arranged at tehsil headquarters of the district to observe the Kashmir Black Day.
Earlier, the day will dawn with the special prayers in the mosques for the independence of the Kashmir and recitation of Holy Quran/fateha for the departed souls of martyred of Kashmir.
